Madhya Pradesh launches 'CM Rise Schools' in a bid to bring govt education at par with private institutes

The CM Rise Schools will be equipped with modern libraries, laboratories, playgrounds, and smart classes. These facilities are expected to bring government schools in the state at par with private schools.

Madhya Pradesh launches CM Rise Schools in a bid to bring govt education at par with private institutes

The chief minister also announced a four per cent hike in the inflation allowances of the government school teachers for their stated efforts to improvise the level of education in the state.

With an aim to improve the quality of school education in the state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today, on January 21, launched 'CM Rise Schools' in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district.

Addressing a public event in the district, Chouhan said that these schools will transform the education ecosystem in the state and will bring government schools at par with private schools in terms of quality. The chief minister also announced that the 10 best preforming government schools in the state will be entitled to a cash prize of Rs 500,000.

The chief minister's official Twitter handle informed that the CM Rise Schools will be equipped with modern libraries, laboratories, playgrounds, and smart classes.

"Also, Rs 50,000 will be provided to top 10 students on the basis of their performance in classes 10th and 12th. Also, upon selection of government school students at premier institutes like IITs [Indian Institute of Technology] and IIMs [Indian Institute of Management], the cost of fees will be borne by the state government," he said.

The chief minister also announced a four per cent hike in the inflation allowances of the government school teachers for their stated efforts to improvise the level of education in the state.
