Pomegranate cultivation has raised farmers’ spirits in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. Around 3,000 of them are earning much more than what they earned from growing traditional crops like the pearl millet. That their fruits are being exported to is proof of their high quality.

पिछले कुछ वर्षों से राजस्थान के कई जिलों में किसानों का रुझान अनार की खेती की ओर बढ़ा है, उनमें से एक बाड़मेर जिला भी है, जहां के किसान अनार की खेती से सालाना लाखों में कमाई कर रहे हैं। यही नहीं अब सऊदी अरब, बहरीन, कुवैत जैसे खाड़ी देशों के साथ ही अमेरिका तक यहां का अनार निर्यात हो रहा है।

राजस्थान के बालोतरा में एक ग्रामीण स्कूल इन दिनों सुर्ख़ियों में है। यहाँ विशेष आवश्यकता वाले बच्चों को आत्मनिर्भर बनने में मदद के लिए मुफ्त शिक्षा और व्यावसायिक प्रशिक्षण दिया जाता है। इस स्कूल में बच्चों को पढ़ाने के साथ उनका इलाज भी होता है। इनमें वे बच्चे हैं जो दिमाग से कमजोर, देखने, सुनने या खुद को व्यक्त करने में अक्षम हैं।
