1 जून से 16 अगस्त के बीच झारखंड में माइनस 36 फीसदी बारिश दर्ज की गई है। इसके कुल 24 जिलों में से केवल एक जिले (पश्चिम सिंहभूम) ने अब तक 'सामान्य' मानसून वर्षा दर्ज की है। विशेषज्ञों को इस खरीफ सीजन में धान की बुआई में 50 फीसदी की गिरावट की आशंका है। छोटे किसान और खेतिहर मजदूर काम की तलाश में दूसरे राज्यों की ओर पलायन कर रहे हैं। 'धान का दर्द' सीरीज के हिस्से के रूप में पलामू से गाँव कनेक्शन की रिपोर्ट।
