भारत में 2015 से लेकर 2021 के बीच डायन बताकर महिलाओं की हत्या किए जाने के 663 मामले सामने आए थे। यानी हर साल औसतन 95 महिलाओं को डायन बताकर उनकी हत्या कर दी जाती है। बिहार इस प्रथा के खिलाफ कानून बनाने वाला पहला राज्य था, जिसमें 6 महीने तक की जेल या 2,000 रुपये के जुर्माना का प्रावधान रखा गया था। बावजूद इसके राज्य में ऐसी मौतों का सिलसिला रुका नहीं है। एक ग्राउंड रिपोर्ट-
