Tribal women from 12 villages of Mayurbhanj, Odisha, revive the traditional and nutritious dhenki-pounded red rice. The 20 self-help groups of these women together produce over 780 quintals of red rice a year, which is exported to states such as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

ओडिशा के 12 गाँवों की आदिवासी महिलाओं ने ढेंकी से लाल चावल कूटने की परंपरा को फिर जिन्दा कर दिया हैं। महिलाओं के 20 स्वयं सहायता समूह से हर साल लगभग 780 क्विंटल चावल का उत्पादन हो रहा है, जिसे कई राज्यों में भेजा जाता है।
