Ali Mohammad Najar from Budgam, Kashmir, is painfully aware that he is perhaps one of the last custodians of the craft of wooden utensils, which were once integral to every Kashmiri kitchen. The craftsman now works as a labourer and repairs wooden roofs to make ends meet.

जौकंधेई ओडिशा की एक पारंपरिक लोक कला है जो राज्य की संस्कृति, साहित्य, कला, धर्म और आध्यात्मिकता का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है। जौकंधेई गुड़िया आमतौर पर एक पुरुष और एक महिला के साथ जोड़े में होती हैं, इन्हें शुभ प्रतीक माना जाता है।

ओड़िशा में डोंगरिया कोंध आदिवासी समुदाय में आदिवासी मोटिफ के साथ शॉल की बुनाई और कढ़ाई करना एक पुरानी प्रथा रही है। सालों पुरानी यही कला रायगडा जिले में 18,00 आदिवासी महिलाओं के लिए आय का एक अहम जरिया भी बन गई है। उनके पारंपरिक शॉल दूर-दूर तक बेचे और खरीदे जा रहे हैं। वे अब अपनी इस मेहनत के लिए जीआई टैग के इंतजार में हैं।
