In Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh, 6,000 women SHGs have been formed that are providing employment opportunities to rural women and helping them set up their own businesses. Four such rural women run a canteen at the district collectorate.

सपेरा जाति के लोगों का प्रमुख व्यवसाय है सांप पकड़कर उसे गांव, कस्बों में घर घर जाकर दिखाना, उसके बदले में लोगों द्वारा द्वारा अनाज या पैसे दिए जाते हैं, जिससे वह अपनी रोजी-रोटी चलाने का काम करते हैं यही इनका आर्थिक स्रोत भी है, लाॅकडाउन से सपेरा जाति के लोगों के कमाई का जरिया ही बंद हो गया है।
