आधार कार्ड को लेकर ये फैसला तब आया है जब ऐसी रिपोर्ट थी कि कुछ रिटायर्ड केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों को पेंशन के लिए परेशानी उठानी पड़ रही है क्योंकि उनका खाता आधार से लिंक नहीं है।

राष्ट्रीय वृद्धावस्था पेंशन योजना के अन्तर्गत के यूपी के 55.77 लाख बुजुर्गों के खातों में 3 माह की पेंशन के कुल 836.55 करोड़ रुपए की धनराशि ट्रांसफर की गई। इन लाभार्थियों में 4.56 नए लाभार्थी हैं।
