Rajasthan is the first state in the country to legislate the Right To Health that has provision for mandatory free-of-cost emergency treatment for every resident of the state. It has been welcomed by the public health organisations but private doctors have launched massive protests as they term it as ‘bureaucratic interference’.

Drug abuse is assuming frightening proportions in Hanumangarh district in Rajasthan and the worst hit are the rural youth, whose addiction is tearing apart families and sending crime in the villages and small towns skyrocketing.
