एशियाई ओलंपिक परिषद की आम सभा की बैठक में ये फैसला लिया गया कि वर्ष 2022 में होने वाले एशियाई खेलों में क्रिकेट को शामिल किया जाएगा। इससे पहले वर्ष 2010 और 2014 में भी इन महाद्वीपीय खेलों में क्रिकेट शामिल रह चुका है।
