हर साल मॉनसून के दौरान असम में बाढ़ आती है। लेकिन इस साल यह संकट और बढ़ गया है, क्योंकि राज्य कई आपदाओं से एक साथ जूझ रहा है। राज्य में कोरोना के मामले लगातार बढ़ रहे हैं, जबकि तिनसुकिया में तेल के कुएं में 9 जून से लगी हुई आग अब तक नहीं बूझ पाई है। वहीं कई जगहों पर भूस्खलन के मामले में भी सामने आए हैं।

Experts feel the highlands in the park are not enough to house so many animals and the government should take measures to help these animals that suffer silently during floods, year after year, as the Park, situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra river, is prone to consistent floods
