भारत ने पहली बार हिम तेंदुओं की देशव्यापी वैज्ञानिक गणना पूरी की है, जिसमें कुल 718 तेंदुओं के होने की पुष्टि हुई। यह सर्वे हिमालयी इकोसिस्टम की सुरक्षा और इस दुर्लभ प्रजाति के संरक्षण की दिशा में एक ऐतिहासिक कदम माना जा रहा है।

भारत की पहली डिजिटल समुद्री मत्स्य जनगणना शुरू हो गई है। ‘व्यास भारत’ और ‘व्यास सूत्र’ जैसे मोबाइल ऐप्स के ज़रिए 13 तटीय राज्यों के 12 लाख मछुआरा परिवारों की जानकारी जुटाई जाएगी। ड्रोन सर्वे और रियल-टाइम डेटा ट्रैकिंग से यह अभियान मत्स्य क्षेत्र में पारदर्शिता, सटीकता और तकनीकी प्रगति का नया अध्याय बनेगा।

हमारे देश में जाति व्यवस्था को बहुत सी बुराइयों के लिए दोषी माना जाता है और आजादी के बाद अनेक समाज सुधारक हुए है। समाजवादियों, साम्यवादियों और अन्य राजनेताओं ने जाति विहीन समाज पर जोर दिया था। उनका प्रयास था कि जातिवादी व्यवस्था में ऊंच-नीच और छुआछूत के अनेक रोग पैदा होते हैं।

ऊंटों के अस्तित्व पर लगातार खतरा मंडराता रहा है। जैसलमेर जैसे इलाकों में किसान खुद को ऊंटों से दूर कर रहे हैं। साल 2012 से 2019 के बीच 37 फीसदी से ज्यादा ऊंट कम हुए हैं। चारे, रखरखाव की समस्या, नई नियम कानून, सरकारी उदासीनता ऊंटों की राह में रोड़ा बन रही है।
