India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the ‘extremely severe' cyclonic storm Biparjoy which is presently approaching the Gujarat coast. The storm is likely to make landfall between Pakistan’s commercial hub of Karachi and the Gujarat coast on June15.

As per the Met Department, civil infrastructure is expected to witness major damage in the affected districts.
