Hundreds of anganwadi workers protested in Delhi for 38 days and called it off when the Delhi government invoked the law refraining protests for the workers occupied in essential services. Upon returning to their centres, about 500 workers found that they had been fired. The anganwadi workers have now moved Delhi High Court against the state government's termination of their services.
