बायो गैस टैंक में लीकेज की वैल्डिंग के समय विस्फोट हुआ। टैंक मे मीथेन गैस होने की जानकारी सामने आ रही है। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही डीएम अटल कुमार राय और एसपी उमेश कुमार सिंह सहित तमाम अधिकारी घटनास्थल पर पहुंच गये।

कर्मचारियों को दौड़ा-दौड़ा कर पीटने लगे। इस दौरान एक कर्मचारी ने 100 नंबर पर फोन कर दिया। मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने किसी तरह से कर्मचारियों की जान बचाई।

With the IMD officially declaring severe heatwave conditions in eastern Uttar Pradesh of which Ballia is a part of, at least 68 people in the district have been reported as dead and more than 400 have been hospitalised in the last 3 days. The deaths have sent alarm bells ringing but so far, the authorities have denied the heat wave to be the cause of this medical emergency. Similar reports are surfacing from Bihar which witnessed almost 50 such deaths. Details here.

But since they are from poor families, no one seems to be in a tearing hurry to deal with this tragedy that has shaken the state. 'Poor' parents are furious and are blaming doctors. They say hospitals are not prepared to deal with a tragedy of this magnitude. While some have lost all their children, many have borrowed money from family and friends. Most are daily wage earners. They have no idea how are they going to repay. Politicians have done their bit. Customary hospital visits are done with. What next? Bottom line is: more than 120 children have died. More will.
