The Union Ministry for Electronics & Information Technology is drafting regulations to combat deepfake technology that can create images and videos by superimposing a person’s face on another.

Last year, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg badmouthed his company. A few days later, Barak Obama "commented" on Donald Trump. Both the videos went viral.
