शोधकर्ताओं का कहना है किकटरोल हिल फॉल्ट (केएचएफ) जैसे अन्य फॉल्टों के साथ भूकंपीय गतिविधियां स्पष्ट नहीं होने के कारण इस क्षेत्र में भूकंपीय खतरे का आकलन और शमन कार्य वैज्ञानिक रूप से कठिन हो जाता है।

शोधकर्ताओं कहना है कि ताप रोधन के साथ भूकंप प्रतिरोधी भवनों के निर्माण के लिए थर्मोकोल भविष्य की सामग्री हो सकती है और निर्माण सामग्रियों को विकसित करने के लिए आवश्यक ऊर्जा का बचत भी कर सकता है।
