बुंदेलखंड के ललितपुर में एक सप्ताह से मची डीएपी खाद की किल्लत कम होती नजर नहीं आ रही है। खाद के चलते तीन किसानों की जान जा चुकी हैं। वहीं कृषि मंत्री की रहे हैं कि प्रदेश में पर्याप्त मात्रा में खाद है, जिन जिलों में कमी है वहां तुरंत आपूर्ति कराई जा रही है।

At least 24 people are reportedly dead due to lightning strikes in Gujarat and large scale crop losses have been reported in Maharashtra. As per weather experts, an interaction between a western disturbance and the moist winds of Arabian Sea led to heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning and hail storms.

As per the India Meteorological Department, between June 1 and September 30 which marks the monsoon season, there was six per cent more rainfall than normal. However, 195 districts in the country reported deficient rainfall which has had an adverse effect on this year’s food production in the country.

Because of deficient rainfall in the monsoon season, All India Kisan Sabha has raised a demand to declare drought in Marathwada region, which has already reported 685 farmer suicides till August 31 this year.
