खुरपका-मुंहपका वो बीमारी है, जिससे हर साल हजारों पशुओं की मौत हो जाती है। पशुओं को जानलेवा बीमारी से बचाने के लिए देशभर में टीकाकरण अभियान चलाया जा रहा है, साथ ही पशुओं की टैगिंग भी की जा रही है, लेकिन पशुपालक टीका लगवाने से मना कर रहे हैं।

लगभग एक साल हो गया है और उत्तर प्रदेश के जिलों को खुरपका व मुंहपका बीमारी (एफएमडी) के लिए टीके की खुराक का अपना हिस्सा अभी तक नहीं मिला, कुछ जिलों से इस बीमारी के फैलने की सूचना है और किसान अपने मवेशियों को भी खो रहे हैं।
