सरकारी स्कूलों में ज्यादा से ज्यादा छात्रों को नामांकित करने और खेल-आधारित शिक्षा को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए एक अनूठी पहल चलाई जा रही है। इसी पहल के चलते वाराणसी में बेसिक शिक्षा विभाग और एक गैर-लाभकारी संस्था ने संयुक्त रूप से दो सरकारी स्कूलों में खिलौना पुस्तकालय खोले हैं। जिले भर में इस तरह की और भी कई लाइब्रेरी आने वाली हैं।
