A joint study by Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability and Azim Premji University shows that a total of 895 questions related to climate change were asked in Parliament in a period of 20 years, which is less than even one per cent of the total queries asked in the House. The low representation of such questions is that climate change does not influence voting behaviour, mentioned the study.

A research report prepared by the Foundation of Agrarian Studies highlighted that while the share of central government expenditure was reduced, there was an increase in the share of state government expenditure.
