बीमा सखी योजना ग्रामीण भारत में महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाते हुए उन्हें वित्तीय सेवाओं की अग्रदूत बना रही है। एलआईसी और ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालय की साझेदारी से शुरू की गई यह योजना महिलाओं को बीमा एजेंट के रूप में प्रशिक्षित कर न सिर्फ उन्हें रोज़गार दे रही है, बल्कि गाँव-गाँव में सामाजिक सुरक्षा और बीमा योजनाओं की पहुँच भी बढ़ा रही है।

Biswanath Tudu’s work has helped promote the Ol Chiki script of the Santali language. In 2010 when Biswanath Tudu got the Akademi Award, there were less than 100 Ol Chiki litterateurs in Odisha who read and wrote this unique script, but now their number has increased to over 300.
