घर वापसी की मांग को लेकर मजदूरों के धैर्य का बांध टूटता जा रहा है। देश के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में प्रवासी मजदूरों के सड़क पर उतरने और घर वापसी के लिए हंगामा करने की खबरें आ रही है। इन मजदूरों पर नियंत्रण करने के लिए पुलिस बल का भी इस्तेमाल कर रही है।

कोरोना के लगातार बढ़ते मामलों के बीच कई राज्यों ने लॉकडाउन लगा दिया है। दिल्ली में भी 19 अप्रैल से 3 मई तक लॉकडाउन घोषित है। इस बीच यहां से अपने घरों को जाने का सिलसिला जारी है। दिल्ली से पटना पहुंचे एस प्रवासी मजदूर समेत कई ने गांव कनेक्शन से साझा की अपनी पीड़ा।

निर्माण मजदूरों का काम हमेशा से ही जोखिम भरा होता है। यह जानते हुए भी निर्माण श्रमिकों को शायद ही कभी सामाजिक सुरक्षा या सरकारी योजनाओं का लाभ मिल पाता है। उनके लिए एक सुनियोजित योजना ही यह सुनिश्चित कर सकती है कि इन श्रमिकों को वो लाभ मिलें जिनके वे असल में हकदार हैं।

जब 16 अक्टूबर को श्रीनगर में गोलगप्पे बेचने वाले अरविंद कुमार साह की हत्या हुई, तो बिहार के उनके परघरी गांव में 2000 किलोमीटर दूर शोक की लहर दौड़ गई। जब गांव कनेक्शन अरविंद के परिवार से मिलने उनके गांव पहुंचा तो पता चला कि लगभग 30 वर्षों से इस गांव के लोग आजीविका की तलाश में जम्मू-कश्मीर की यात्रा कर रहे हैं।
