A number of rural women in Rajasthan are switching over to eco-friendly woven-bamboo sanitary napkins being made by the Jaipur-based non-profit PraveenLata Sansthan. Each washable pad can last up to five years. The NGO has trained women to stitch and sell these pads.

राजस्थान में कई ग्रामीण महिलाएं पर्यावरण के अनुकूल बांस से बने सैनिटरी नैपकिन की ओर रुख कर रही हैं. हर बार धोकर इस्तेमाल किए जाने वाले ये नैपकिन पांच साल तक चल सकते हैं. इन्हें जयपुर स्थित एक गैर-लाभकारी प्रवीण लता संस्थान द्वारा बनाया जा रहा है। एनजीओ ने महिलाओं को इन पैड्स की सिलाई और बिक्री का प्रशिक्षण भी दिया है।
