जनवरी 2019 में भारत से तीन बारातें पाकिस्तान के सिंध गई थीं। लेकिन पुलवामा हमले के बाद तीनों दूल्हे बिना दुल्हन ही अप्रैल में वापस आ गए थे। लंबी मशक्कत के बाद 2 दुल्हनें मार्च 2021 में भारत आ गईं थी, लेकिन विक्रम की दुल्हन का वीजा ब्लैक लिस्ट हो गया था। अब ढाई साल बाद विक्रम की लंबी जद्दोजहद के बाद उनकी दुल्हन को वीजा मिला है।

14 अप्रैल को देश भर में डॉ भीमराव अम्बेडकर की जयंती मनाई जाती है। भीमराव अम्बेडकर को बाबा अम्बेडकर के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

पाकिस्तान में इस साल जून से अब तक 3.3 करोड़ से ज्यादा लोग बाढ़ से प्रभावित हुए हैं। बांग्लादेश बाढ़ और सूखे दोनों से जूझ रहा है और भारत में, शुरुआती हीटवेव, उसके बाद शुरुआती बाढ़, और अब भारत-गंगा के मैदानों में सूखे जैसी स्थितियों ने हमारी मुख्य खाद्य फसलों - गेहूं और धान को प्रभावित किया है। इस बीच, ओरेगन (यूएसए) में जंगल की आग भड़क रही है और यूरोप 500 वर्षों में सबसे खराब सूखे से जूझ रहा है।
