कोविड महामारी के बीच देश के 9.5 करोड़ से ज्यादा किसानों के खातों में 2000-2000 रुपए भेजते हुए पीएम मोदी ने कहा कठिन वक्त में ये राशि किसानों के काम आ रही है, लेकिन बहुत सारे किसानों का कहना कि जिस हिसाब से महंगाई बढ़ी है, लॉकडाउन में किसानों का नुकसान हो रहा है ये राशि काफी कम है।

किसान को साल में 6000 रुपए का सीधा फायदा देने वाली प्रधानमंत्री किसान सम्मान निधि योजना के तीन साल पूरे हो गए हैं। सरकार ने मुताबिक इस दौरान 11 करोड़ से ज्यादा किसानों को पौने 2 लाख रुपए का फायदा हुआ है।
