राजस्थान में वर्षा जल संचयन को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए राज्य सरकार की एक योजना काफी फायदेमेंद साबित हो रही, पानी की कमी वाले गिरोनिया गाँव के किसान रबी के मौसम में गेहूं की खेती कर रहे हैं, और उनके सरसों के उत्पादन में कई गुना वृद्धि हुई है।

गर्मियां आते ही जल संकट के हालात बनने पर इस दिशा में बहुत चर्चा होती है। शासन-प्रशासन भी सजग दिखाई देता है लेकिन जैसे ही बरसात आ जाती है प्राथमिकता बदल जाती हैं और इस दिशा में प्रयास सिथिल हो जाते हैं। इसलिए आगे भी लगातार इस दिशा में प्रभावी प्रयास अनवरत जारी रखे जाने चाहिए।
