ऑटोमोबाइल सेक्टर में मंदी से ट्रैक्टर से लेकर ट्रक और 'छोटा हाथी' से लेकर दुपहिया वाहन तक की बिक्री गिरी है। जिसका सीधा असर इन्हें बनाने वाली बड़ी कंपनियों और माल सप्लाई करने वाली छोटी कंपनियों पर पड़ रहा है। झारखंड के जमशेदपुर में 1000 छोटी कंपनियों तो लखनऊ की 100 कंपनियां मंदी की चपेट में हैं। इनमे काम करने वाले हजारों कर्मचारी बेरोजगार हो गए हैं।
