Karnataka’s rural libraries are a gateway to several opportunities. As many as 5,573 village panchayat libraries have sprung up across the state, with more than 3.5 million children registered with these centres. These free libraries are opening the doors to a better life for young people from economically weaker backgrounds.

जब महामारी की वजह से स्कूल बंद कर दिए गए, उस समय कर्नाटक सरकार ने ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के सार्वजनिक पुस्तकालयों में सुधार के लिए एक कार्यक्रम शुरू किया। राज्य के 1.8 मिलियन से ज्यादा छात्रों को इन ग्रामीण पुस्तकालयों में मुफ्त सदस्यता प्राप्त है जो नवीन तकनीक से लैस हैं।
