Sakat Chauth is a festival celebrated in northern India. In Madhya Pradesh’s Baghelkhand, singhara or water chestnut is a vital ingredient in the festivities. It is used to make a sweet called Kaachi. The festival is being celebrated today, on January 10.

मध्यप्रदेश के बघेलखंड में सकट चौथ के दिन सूखे सिंघाड़े से एक विशेष व्यंजन भी बनाया जाता है। यह व्यंजन संकटा चौथ के दिन विशेष रूप से पूरे बघेलखंड और बुंदेलखंड में बनाए जाने वाले सूखे सिंघाड़े की काची को लोग बड़े चाव से खाते हैं।
