The Wildlife Trust of India has launched Hostile Watch Activity Kernel [HAWK] — a wildlife crime management system that will help in maintaining a database. This portal will track crimes and help various departments and law enforcement agencies in keeping track of activities that endanger wildlife in India.

Two German Shepherd dogs and six drone cameras are being used by the forest staff of the Similipal Tiger Reserve to check wildfires and also nab criminals who try to set the jungles on fire. Last year, the tiger reserve was ravaged by uncontrollable forest fires.
