महाराष्ट्र में मुंबई की फिल्मी दुनिया की चकाचौंध से अलग प्रदेश में हजारों तमाशा कलाकार भी हैं. जो लोगों का मनोरंजन करते हैं, लेकिन पिछले दो साल से सब कुछ बंद है। वजह है कोरोना के चलते लगाई गईं पाबंदियां। तमाशा मंडल से जुड़े हजारों कलाकारों के सामने आज भूखे से मरने की नौबत आ गई है। कर्ज में डूबे इन कलाकारों ने सरकार से मदद की गुहार लगाई है, कि उन्हें भी कुछ राहत दी जाए।

Many of its members are now weaving mats and brooms from date-palm leaves to make the ends meet. However, the community still has no access to safe drinking water.

A forest guard shares with us his chance encounter with an elephant that had strayed out of the jungle. He first landed on the railway tracks, then crossed the National Highway and ultimately also managed to fall into a coal mine pit. It was a harrowing experince for the guard as this was his first job. But he learnt something important. The elephant had not strayed. The humans, in the name of development, have entered into his home, leaving him confused.
