तपती गर्मी से बेखबर दिल्ली में सैकड़ों लोग जल बोर्ड के टैंकर से पीने का पानी लेने के लिए कतारों में खड़े होते हैं, लेकिन इनमें से ज्यादातर लोग अपनी खाली बाल्टियों के साथ ही घर लौट आते हैं। भारतीय जनता पार्टी की दिल्ली इकाई ने सोमवार 12 जुलाई को विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। दिल्ली जल बोर्ड (डीजेबी) समस्या के लिए पड़ोसी राज्य हरियाणा को जिम्मेदार ठहराता है।

अमेठी देश के चर्चित इलाकों में एक है। चुनावी सरगर्मियों के बीच लखनऊ से लेकर दिल्ली तक के नेताओं के फिर चक्कर लगना शुरु हो गए हैं। लेकिन राजनीतिक रुप से हाईप्रोफाइल अमेठी में कुछ गांव ऐसे भी हैं जहां पीने के पानी की समस्या से लोग जूझ रहे हैं। ग्रामीणों के मुताबिक खराब पानी के चलते उनके यहां लड़कों की शादियों में मुश्किलें आती हैं।
