As per data shared by the Union Agriculture Ministry in the Rajya Sabha, the enrolment of farmers for the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana has risen by 73% between 2020-21 and 2022-23. Despite this, the Centre’s expenditure on the share of the premium subsidy has reduced by 14.7% . Details here.
