डीएसटी ने चार वर्षों तक हर साल पाँच ‘साथी’ केंद्रों की स्थापना की योजना बनायी है। इन केंद्रों द्वारा महंगे उपकरणों की पहुँच, उनके रखरखाव, संसाधनों के समुचित उपयोग को सुनिश्चित करने के साथ-साथ दोहराव जैसी समस्याओं का समाधान हो सकेगा।
