जलवायु परिवर्तन सिर्फ मौसम को नहीं, बल्कि जानवरों से इंसानों में फैलने वाली बीमारियों के खतरे को भी गहराई से प्रभावित कर रहा है। दुनिया भर के 200 से अधिक अध्ययनों के विश्लेषण से पता चलता है कि तापमान, बारिश और नमी ज़ूनोटिक रोगों के फैलाव में अहम भूमिका निभाते हैं, हालांकि यह प्रभाव हर बीमारी और हर क्षेत्र में अलग-अलग दिखाई देता है। यह शोध भविष्य की महामारी तैयारियों के लिए एक अहम चेतावनी है।
