लखीमपुर खीरी जिला प्रशासन ने उत्तर प्रदेश में अपनी तरह की पहली ग्रामीण बस्ती की स्थापना की है। यहां पर 26 भूमिहीन परिवारों को पाइप से पीने के पानी, सीवेज सिस्टम, बिजली की आपूर्ति, सौर स्ट्रीट लाइटिंग, खेल का मैदान और पशुशाला जैसी सुविधाएं मिल रही हैं। इस मॉडल के पूरे राज्य में लागू होने की उम्मीद है।
