खाद्य एवम औषधि प्रशासन के अनुसार ऐसे खाद्य पदार्थ जिनमें विटामिन ए, सी और ई की तय मात्रा पायी जाती है उन्हें बेहतर सेहत के लिए बतौर एंटीओक्सीडेंट "उत्तम स्रोत या Good Source" कहा जा सकता है। बाजार में एंटिओक्सिडेंटयुक्त उत्पादों के लेबल से कई कंपनियों ने लूट मचा रखी है। इन उत्पादों का आकलन करने पर पाया गया कि इनमें कई विटामिन्स की उपस्थिती लगभग नगण्य जैसी थी।

A research study has found that India’s rural population is losing access to protein and the consumption of packaged sugary edibles and carbohydrates has increased. The study reasoned affordability of carbohydrates-laden food as the primary cause of the nutritional imbalance. Plastic waste generation is on the rise in the country but there is no separate data on the quantity of such waste generation in rural India. Single-use plastics have invaded the villages where there are no waste management systems in place. For instance, in West Bengal, Assam, Punjab and Bihar, the percentage of villages that have mechanisms to manage solid waste are 0.82%, 1.08%, 1.67% and 1.97%, respectively.
