पंद्रह साल पहले तमिलनाडु के तिरुथुराईपोंडी में शुरू हुए नेल तिरुविज़ा (बीज उत्सव) से हजारों धान किसान जुड़ गए हैं। गांव कनेक्शन ने एक ऐसे आंदोलन के बारे में जानकारी हासिल की है जिसने राज्य में 150 से अधिक धान की देसी किस्मों को एक बार फिर पुनर्जीवित किया है।
