उत्तर प्रदेश के महोबा में बनियातला अब आम गाँव नहीं है। कभी बूंद बूंद को तरसते यहाँ के लोगों ने खुद बारिश के पानी को खास तरकीब से जमा कर ऐसा कमाल कर दिखाया है कि दूसरे गाँव के लोग अब देखने आ रहे हैं। बांध बनने के बावजूद गाँव में अब भीषण गर्मी में भी हैंडपंपों से इतना पानी निकलता है कि यहाँ की औरतों को पानी के लिए अब मीलों दूर नहीं जाना पड़ता है।
