2016 में वही के एक उग्रवादी दल ने राखिने प्रान्त में कई पुलिस पोस्ट ओर आर्मी कैंपो को निशाना बनाया। म्यानमार की सरकार के द्वारा किये जवाबी हमले की वजह से फिर रोहिंग्या निशाना बने। उनके कैंप जला दिए गए, लोगो को मारा गया और कई युवको को पूछताछ के लिए उठा के ले जाया गया।
