With the endangered Olive ridley sea turtles achieving the largest-ever recorded nesting in Odisha in the last week, scientists from ZSI have now tagged a total of 6,500 of these reptiles to study their migration patterns, breeding behaviour and gather more information about thee endangered species. As per the Met Department, civil infrastructure is expected to witness major damage in the affected districts. The cyclone is expected to hit districts such as Porbandar, Rajkot, Morbi and Junagarh with a wind speed of 140 kilometres per hour.
