गन्ने के रेट Sugarcane rate में 25 रुपए प्रति कुंटल की बढ़ोतरी करते हुए सरकार ने कहा इससे प्रदेश के किसानों की करीब 8 फीसदी आमदनी बढ़ेगी। वहीं डीजल-उर्वरक और बिजली की महंगाई को देखते हुए किसान नेताओं ने इसे नाकाफी बताया है।

पंजाब में गन्ने का रेट बढ़ाने की मांग कर रहे किसानों के लिए अच्छी खबर है। पंजाब की कांग्रेस सरकार ने गन्ने का रेट 360 रुपए कुंटल करने की घोषणा की है। ये पड़ोसी राज्य हरियाणा से 2 रुपए ज्यादा है।

केंद्र सरकार ने गन्ने की एफआरपी में 5 रुपए कुंटल की बढ़ोतरी करते हुए कहा कि इससे किसानों को लागत पर 87 फीसदी ज्यादा लाभ मिलेगा। एफआरपी वो रेट होता है, जिससे नीचे चीनी मिलें गन्ने का भुगतान नहीं कर सकती हैं। एक दिन पहले पंजाब सरकार ने गन्ने का रेट (SAP) 360 रुपए घोषित किया था। किसानों का कहना है कि गन्ने का रेट डीजल की महंगाई के रेट में बढ़ाया जाना चाहिए।

Yesterday, two minor Dalit sisters were raped and killed. Their bodies were found hanging from a khair tree in a sugarcane field in their village in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. A heinous crime that is distressingly frequent in rural India. Meanwhile, the conviction rate under POSCO Act is only about 40 per cent. And, a significant chunk of the Nirbhaya funds remain unutilised by the state governments.
