उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ से 351 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर बसा बनारस मंडल में आने वाला चंदौली जिला खुद में 17 लाख लोगों की आबादी को समेटे हुए हैं। प्राकृतिक संसाधनों की नजर से इस जिलें में खेती और पशुपालन में अपार सम्भावनायें हैं, इस जिले में धान की पैदावार अधिक मात्रा में की जाती हैं। चंदौली को उत्तर प्रदेश का धान का कटोरा भी कहा जाता है।
