एक समय था जब सहारनपुर जिले के किसान साल भर गन्ने की खेती करते थे। गन्ने की खेती में फायदा तो था लेकिन चीनी मिलों समय से गन्ने के भुगतान न हो पाने से किसान परेशान हो गए थे, ऐसे में कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र ने किसानों को नई राह दिखायी।
