कुसुम लोधी मध्य प्रदेश की सिरसौदा ग्राम पंचायत की निर्विरोध सरपंच चुनी गई हैं। शादी होने की वजह से उन्होंने आठवीं कक्षा में स्कूल छोड़ दिया था। लेकिन उन्होंने अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी की, और अब अपनी बेटी के साथ बीएड कर रही हैं। कुसुम अपनी 'गुलाबी पंचायत' में बदलाव की एक नई बयार चलाना चाहती हैं।

योगी सरकार का कहना है अगले तीन महीनों में प्रदेश की सभी 58,189 ग्राम पंचायतों में ग्राम सचिवालय होंगे। जहां कई तरहकी सुविधाएं मिलेंगी। इसके साथ ही प्रदेश में सभी ग्राम पंचायतों में एक पंचायत सहायक की भर्ती की प्रक्रिया भी शुरु हो गई है।

Good news from the adivasi-dominated Panna district where Aramganj gram panchayat has elected a woman sarpanch and 17 women panchs as representatives for the rural administration. Kusum Lodhi has been elected unopposed as the sarpanch of Sirsauda gram panchayat in Madhya Pradesh. She dropped out of school in class eight when she got married. But she completed her studies and is now pursuing a B.Ed with her daughter. Lodhi is determined to put the 'pink panchayat' on the path to progress.
