जुलाई 2025 तक देश में 4,361 थैलेसीमिया रोगी पंजीकृत हो चुके हैं, जिनमें आधे से अधिक बच्चे हैं। सरकार उन्हें 10 लाख रुपये तक की वित्तीय सहायता दे रही है बोन मैरो ट्रांसप्लांट के लिए। थैलेसीमिया की रोकथाम और इलाज के लिए राज्यों के साथ मिलकर केंद्र सरकार लगातार नई पहलें कर रही है।
