अफ्रीकन स्वाइन फीवर (ASF) के नए मामले सामने आने के बाद फिलीपींस ने स्पेन से सूअर मांस आयात पर अस्थायी रोक लगा दी है। सरकार ने कहा कि यह कदम घरेलू पशुओं की सुरक्षा के लिए जरूरी है और त्योहारों के दौरान मांस की कमी नहीं होने दी जाएगी। वैश्विक पोर्क बाजार में यह बड़ा झटका है, जबकि भारत में भी ASF का संकट कभी-भी असर दिखा सकता है।

However, in 2018-19, the production cost shot up to Rs 200 per kg, but the selling price remained at Rs 160 per kg
