बिहार के कैमूर ज़िले की पूनम हर दिन सुबह चार बजे उठकर 15 किमी दूर कभी अखाड़े में लड़कों के बीच कुश्ती सीखती थीं ,आज वे दूसरी लड़कियों को कुश्ती के दांव-पेंच सिखा रहीं हैं।

राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर कुश्ती प्रतियोगिताओं में शामिल हो चुकी निर्जला कुमारी की राह इतनी आसान नहीं थी, दंगल फिल्म से प्रेरित होकर उनके पिता ने जब उन्हें ये सिखाना शुरू किया तमाम मुश्किलें आईं बावजूद इसके निर्जला ने कभी हार नहीं मानी।
