खेती जिसमें एक किसान और उसके उपभोक्ता बीच अगर हजारों किलोमीटर का लंबा फासला हो, तो ज़ाहिर है इस फासले को पाटने का जज्बा हर किसी के बूते की बात नहीं होगी। यह तो 64 साल के करण वीर सिंह सिद्धू की हिम्मत, संकल्प और उनके पिता के सच्चे किसान का डीएनए ही था जिसकी वजह से वो इस जोखिम भरे माहौल यानी खेती के धंधे में कूद गए।

जब आसिया ने छत पर खेती शुरू की तो सभी ने उनका मजाक उड़ाया कि क्या कर लेंगी, लेकिन जो लोग उन्हें ताना मारते थे, अब वही लोग रोज़ाना उनसे मशरूम और सब्जियाँ खरीदने आते हैं। तभी तो घर बैठे 30-40 हज़ार रुपए महीने का कमा रहीं हैं।
